2 Sensational Easter Dessert Recipes

Easter Sunday is all about celebration, fun and delicious food, especially baked food. Easter eggs, cakes, breads, chocolates are special, but usual traditional items one can find on Easter dinner table. However, in addition to these recipes, if you are looking to add some more global flavors and make your holiday dinner more special, then try adding a few simple yet tasty dishes to your Easter Menu.

Easter Dessert Recipes:

1. Lemon Bars:

Lemon bars are simple yet incredibly tasting. This buttery colorful citrus dessert will definitely be a sweet surprise to all your guests.

Preparation Time – 3 Hours 30 Minutes
Cooking Time – 30 Minutes
Serves – 24 Bars

Ingredients:

Crust Preparation:

All purpose flour – 1.5 cups
Unsalted butter – ½ cup
White sugar – 1/3 cup
Kosher salt – ¼ teaspoon
Cooking spray – a little

Filling Preparation:

Eggs – 4
White sugar – 2/3 cup
Lemon juice (fresh) – 1/3 cup
Lemon zest – 2 teaspoon
All purpose flour – 2 tablespoon
Heavy cream – 2 tablespoon
Kosher salt – a little
Icing sugar – 1 teaspoon

Method Of Preparation:

Step 1:

Preheat oven to 30 degrees. Take a large square shaped baking pan and spray it with cooking spray. Line the pan with parchment paper and spray it again with cooking spray.

Step 2:

Beat all purpose flour, sugar, butter and salt in a processor. Mix it using your hands to form crumbs and transfer it to the prepared pan. Bake it for 30 minutes so that it turns golden brown.

Step 3:

While the crust is in the oven, prepare the filling by combining the three whole eggs, yolk from fourth egg, sugar, lemon juice, zest, cream, flour and salt in a large bowl. Whisk the ingredients together to make a fine cream.

Step 4:

Once the crust is ready, transfer the lemon cream mixture onto it, put it back in the oven for 15 minutes for baking. Remove it from the oven, allow the pan to cool completely and then refrigerate for 2 hours. Transfer the cake to a cutting board and cut it into small rectangular pieces. Dust the dessert with icing sugar and serve it chill.

2. Mini Strawberry Tarts:

The sweet treats with a dreamy mixture of lemon zest, juice, cream cheese and whipped cream are not only pretty but tasty too. Besides fresh strawberries, this divine dessert can be topped with several other berries like blackberries, blueberries and raspberries for an astounding summer treat.

Preparation Time – 30 Minutes
Cooking Time – 5 Hours And 15 Minutes
Serves – 8

Ingredients:

All Purpose Flour – 1 cup
Powdered Sugar – 1/3 cup
Chopped Pistachios – ¼ cup
Salted Butter – 6 Tbsp
Softened Cream Cheese – 8 Oz
Lemon Zest – 3 Tsp
Fresh Lemon Juice – 1 Tbsp
Granulated Sugar – ½ cup
Whipped Cream – 1 Cup
Fresh Strawberries – 2 Cups
Granulated Sugar – 1 Tbsp

Method Of Preparation:

Step 1:

Preheat the oven to 350 degree centigrade. Grease tart pans that have removable rims. Place them on a rimmed baking sheet.

Step 2;

Blend together powdered sugar, pistachios and powdered sugar in a food processor for a minute. Now add the butter and pulse 6 – 8 times.

Step 3:

Put 41/2 tbsp of this mixture into each tart pan. Bake for 15 – 20 minutes until lightly browned. Remove the tarts on the wire rack and cool them for 30 minutes.

Step 4:

Using an electric mixer beat the cheese until smooth. Now add lemon juice, lemon zest and ½ cup of granulated sugar. Beat until all the ingredients are blended well. Fold in the whipped cream gently into the mixture of cream cheese. Spoon this mixture into each tart shell and chill them for 2 – 24 hours.

Step 5:

Toss together a tbsp of granulated sugar and sliced strawberries and spoon on the tarts before serving.
