5 Yummy Grilled Stuffed Jalapeno Recipes

Stuffed jalapenos are rich, spicy and yummy. Instead of going for a fried recipe, why not make it a little healthier and tastier by barbequing stuffed jalapenos. This will be a fresh alterative to the regular fried pepper. Five such grilled jalapeno recipes are given here. Try them.

Grilled Stuffed Jalapenos:

1. Bacon Stuffed Grilled Jalapenos

The combination of bacon, cream cheese and the spicy jalapeno is so wonderful that you just cannot stop eating them. The recipe is appetizing and a healthy alternative to fried jalapenos.

Preparation Time – 15 Minutes
Cooking Time – 20 Minutes
Serves – 14

Ingredients:

Jalapenos – 14 (halved lengthwise)
Bacon slices – 2
Cream cheese – 1cup
Cheddar cheese – ¼ cup
Green onion – ¼ cup (minced)
Lime juice – 1 teaspoon
Kosher salt – ¼ teaspoon
Garlic – 1 clove (minced)
Cilantro – 2 tablespoon

Method Of Preparation:

Step 1

Preheat the grill.

Step 2

Cook bacon slices in a pan until crisp and crumble the slices. Combine crumbled bacon, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic, onions, lime juice and salt in a medium sized bowl.

Step 3

Divide the cheese mixture into equal portions to fill the jalapeno halves. Place the cheese filled side of the jalapenos on the grill coated with cooking spray. Grill the peppers for 8 minutes, so that the bottom of the peppers become slightly brown and the cheese mixture also becomes light brown in color. Place the jalapenos on the serving platter and garnish using cilantro.

2. Shrimp Stuffed Grilled Jalapenos

Bored of the usual fried jalapenos? Add a twist to the traditional recipe by stuffing the peppers with shrimp and barbecuing the same on a grill to make it healthier, tastier and a more fun food.

Cooking Time – 20 Minutes

Ingredients:

Jalapenos – 12
Shrimp – 12
Kosher salt – 1 teaspoon
Cheddar cheese – 1 cup
Sliced bacon – 12

Method Of Preparation:

Step 1

Cut the top of the jalapenos and take out the seeds. Dry the shrimps and season them with salt. Mix the seasoned shrimps and cheese in a bowl. Place the shrimp-cheese mixture inside the jalapenos and wrap them with bacon slices.

Step 2

Preheat the grill to high heat.

Step 3

Place the jalapenos on the hot grill for about 18 minutes. Turn occasionally so that the bacon and shrimp gets cooked. Serve hot.

3. Spicy Chicken Stuffed Grilled Jalapenos

These spicy poppers can be cooked in just 5 minutes. The combination of spices and cheese complements the appetizing flavors of Jalapenos.

Ingredients:

Jalapenos – 12
Cream Cheese – 8 Oz.
Cooked and Shredded Chicken – 1 Cup
Monterey Jack Cheese – ½ Cup
Green Onions Sliced – ¼ Cup
Garlic Powder – ½ Tsp
Dried Basil – 3/4th Tsp
Dried Oregano – ½ Tsp
Kosher Salt – ½ Tsp

Method Of Preparation:

Step 1

Preheat the oven (400 degrees) or Grill to Medium Heat

Step 2

Rinse and pat dry Jalapenos. Slit them lengthwise and scoop out the membranes and seeds. If you prefer it to be spicy then leave some seeds in it.

Step 3

Mix together cream cheese and all the ingredients. Combine until everything is evenly incorporated.

Step 4

Fill 11/2 tbsp of this mixture into each jalapeno.

Step 5

Arrange them in a baking dish and bake them for 20 – 25 minutes or place them on the grill and grill for 3 – 4 minutes.

4. Crab Stuffed Jalapenos

Crunchy and spicy jalapenos with cream cheese and crab filling are something you would be craving to eat again and again.

Ingredients:

Fresh Jalapeno Peppers – 20 – 25
Softened Cream Cheese – 2 – 8 oz
Shredded Mexican Cheese – 11/2 c
Fresh Parmesan Cheese – ¼ c
Crab meat – 2 – 8 oz (fresh crab or canned one)
Juice of Lemon – 1 Tsp
Garlic Powder – ½ Tsp
Chopped Green Onion – ½ C
Old Bay Seasoning – 1 Tsp
Black Pepper (freshly ground) – ¼ Tsp

Method of Preparation:

Step 1

Slit the peppers lengthwise and discard the membrane and seeds.

Step 2

Mix all the ingredients. Stuff this mixture in the peppers.

Step 3

Grill for 20 minutes until browned or bake in oven for 20 minutes at 400 degrees.

5. Crawfish Stuffed Jalapenos

Ingredients:

Crawfish meat – ½ cup (Chopped)
Cream Cheese – 1.5 Tbsp
Cajun Seasoning – ½ Tsp
Diced Green Onion – 1
Jalapenos – 8 small or 4 large
Bacon – 4 Slices

Method Of Preparation:

Step 1

Mix cream cheese, crawfish, green onion and seasoning in a bowl until it is combined well.

Step 2

Cut off the top of each jalapeno and discard all the seeds in it.

Step 3

Stuff the mixture in the jalapeno and wrap it with bacon strip. Secure the wrap with a toothpick.

Step 4

Grill for 5 minutes until crispy on each side.
