Bacon – 3 slices
Mushrooms – 8 (Crimini Mushroom)
Butter – 1 tbsp
Chopped onion – 1 tbsp
Shredded Cheddar Cheese – 3/4 cup

Method Of Preparation:

Step 1

Firstly, you need to place the bacon in a skillet. Make sure you use a large skillet. Now cook it over high heat. It should get brown. However make sure it is evenly brown. Now drain the excess oil in a paper towel and dice it into pieces. Set it aside. You will need it later for the stuffing. Keep a watch that you do not burn the bacon.

Step 2

Now preheat your oven to 200 degrees C or 400 degrees F. This is a very important step. Preheating your oven should always be done when you are baking.

Step 3

Now remove the stems of the mushroom. Set the caps of the mushroom aside. Chop stems of the mushroom. This is very important. You need the stems of the mushroom in the next step. The caps will be filled with the stuffing.

Step 4

You need a saucepan now. You would need a large saucepan. Keep it on medium heat. Now melt butter in it. Cook the chopped onion and the mushroom stems. Cook it gets soft. Once it is done, remove it from heat. Do not burn the onion. You need need it to be cooked nicely.

Now take a medium bowl and stir the mushroom stem mix together with 1/2 cup of Cheddar and the diced bacon. This will be the filling of your mushroom. Mix it well and scoop this mix in the caps of the mushroom. It is that easy! Make a hollow in the mushroom cap with a knife in case there is no space for the filling.

Now place it on a greased baking dish and bake it in the preheated oven for just 15 minutes. The cheese should melt and it does not need much baking time.
