Cottage Cheese Steak With Yummy Corn Puree

The best part is that you can easily make it in your home unlike other cheese variants which have to be store bought. So, without much ado, presenting an innovative way to prepare a dish with cottage cheese. The item is as delicious as the name itself.

Cottage Cheese Steak With Yummy Corn Puree:

Cottage Cheese Steak

Preparation Time – 20 Minutes
Cooking Time – 30 Minutes
Serves –4


For The Cottage Cheese Steak

Paneer- 500 gms
Black pepper powder- 1 tbsp
Paprika powder- 1 tsp
Cumin powder- 1 tsp
Oregano- 1 tsp
Salt- to taste
Red chilly flakes- 1 tsp
Olive oil- 2 tbsp
Onion- 6 to 8 nos., sliced

For The Corn Puree

Olive oil- 2 tbsp
Onion- 6 to 8 nos, chopped
Jalapeno pepper- 5 nos., sliced
Corn- 1 cup
Salt- to taste
Black pepper- to taste, freshly cracked/crushed
Yellow bell pepper- 1/2 nos., diced
Milk- 1/2 cup

For Salad Garnishing

Spring onion- 2 nos.
Sprouts- 25 grams
Salt- to taste
Lemon juice- 1- 2 tsp
Olive oil- 1- 2 tsp

Method Of Preparation:

To Prepare The Cottage Cheese Steak

Step 1:

Cut the cottage cheese block into cylindrical pieces.

Step 2:

Make a mixture combining cumin powder, coriander powder, paprika, black pepper, red chilly flakes, oregano and salt.

Step 3:

Apply the mixture onto the cottage cheese pieces.

Step 4:

Pour olive oil onto a grill pan and grill the cottage cheese.

Step 5:

Keep the grilled cottage cheese pieces aside.

To Prepare The Corn Puree

Step 6:

Take a pan and saute onions, yellow bell pepper, corn, jalapenos, cracked/ crushed black pepper and salt in olive oil.

Step 7:

Add milk to the pan and keep stirring till the vegetables are properly cooked.

Step 8:

Cool this mixture and blend it well using a blender.

To Prepare The Salad

Step 9:

Mix together sprouts, spring onions, olive oil and lemon juice.

To Assemble

Step 10:

Take a plate with  high edge and pour the freshly made corn puree. Place the cottage cheese steak carefully on it.

Step 11:

Drizzle some olive oil on the puree.

Step 12:

Garnish the dish by placing the salad on the cottage cheese steak.


Do not overcook the cottage cheese as it would make it rubbery and hard.
