8 ounces of whole-wheat fusilli
1 teaspoon of canola oil
2 slices of bacon (chopped)
1 sweet onion (large and sliced thinly)
1 pound of skinless and boneless chicken breast (cut and trimmed into pieces of 1 inch)
1 green bell pepper (medium and sliced)
3 cloves of garlic (minced)
4 teaspoon of cashew seasoning
½ teaspoon of ground pepper (fresh)
28-ounces of crushed tomatoes
1 teaspoon of all-purpose flour
1/3 cup of sour cream (reduced-fat)
½ a cup of scallion for garnishing (sliced)
Direction To Prepare:
In a large pot add water and bring it to boil. Put pasta in the water and cook for the next 8-10 minutes. You may also cook until pasta turn just tender or in the same way as given at the back of the package.
In a Dutch oven, heat oil on medium-flame. Add onion and bacon in the oven and keep on stirring at regular interval. Cook until it turns brown or for 2 minutes. Follow up with adding bell pepper, garlic, cashew seasoning, chicken, and pepper. Once again, stir to mix properly. Cook until you find bell pepper and onion turning smooth or for the next 4 minutes.
