Delectable Almond Honey Power Bar Recipe

Almond Honey Power Bar

Preparation Time – 30 Minutes
Cooking Time – 60 Minutes
Serves – 8 Bars

Ingredients:

Husked and crushed oats – 1 cup
Slivered almonds – ¼ cup
Sunflower seeds – ¼ cup
Flaxseeds – 1 large spoon
Sesame seeds – 1 tablespoon
Puffed cereals (unsweetened) – 1 cup
Currants – 1/3 cup
Chopped dry apricot – 1/3 cup
Raisins (golden) – 1/3 cup
Almond butter – ¼ cup
Turbinado sugar – ¼ cup
Honey – ¼ cup
Vanilla extract – ½ teaspoon
Salt – 1/8 teaspoon

Method Of Preparation:

Step 1

Firstly, preheat the oven to 350 degrees and apply cooking spray on an 8 inch square cake pan.

Step 2

Spread the almonds, oats and seeds on a baking sheet. Bake the ingredients until they are fragrant and slightly toasted. Make sure to mix the ingredients at frequent intervals while baking. Put the ingredients in a bowl after baking and add puffed cereals, raisins and apricots. Now, toss the bowl to mix the ingredients.

Step 3

Take a medium sized saucepan and add sugar, honey and almond butter. Heat the pan on low flame and stir well. Turn off the heat when the mixture bubbles.

Step 4

Pour the hot almond butter mixture above the dry mixture in the bowl and blend all the components well using a spatula so that no dry spots are seen. Shift the mixture to the pan prepared previously and press it using your hands to create an even layer. Refrigerate the pan for say 30 minutes and then cut it into 8 even sized bars.
