Today we are going to share the lovely recipe of Kung Chicken with you. It is a very addictive dish which has such yummy ingredients. It is sweet, salty and spicy and we love it. Many versions have been created for this one dish. The recipe we are going to share with you is very easy. We have also added the recipe of fried rice with you. It goes perfectly with the Kung Pao Chicken.
Here Is The Recipe For Kung Pao Chicken With Fried Rice:
Preparation Time: 30 Minutes
Cooking Time: 30 Minutes
Boneless Chicken Breast – 1 pound (skinless)
White wine – 2 tbsp
Soy sauce – 2 tbsp
Sesame oil – 2 tbsp
Cornstarch – 2 tbsp (dissolve it in 2 tbsp of water)
Hot chile paste – 1 ounce
Distilled white vinegar – 1 tsp
Brown sugar – 2 tsp
Chopped Green onion – 4
Chopped garlic – 1 tbsp
Water chestnut – 1 can
Chopped peanut – 4 ounces
For Fried Rice :
Chopped carrot – 1
Finely Chopped beans – 10 beans
Rice – 2 cups
Garlic – 1 clove (sliced)
Soy sauce – 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Cabbage – 1 cup (sliced finely)
Method Of Preparation:
Firstly, you need to cut the chicken into chunks for Kung Pao Chicken. This is an important step to make the dish. You do not want large pieces for this one.
Now make the marinade by combining 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp wine, 1 tbsp cornstarch mixture and 1 tbsp oil. Mix it together. Place the chunks of chicken in a bowl and add the marinade to it. Toss to coat evenly. Cover the dish and place it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Now you need to make sauce for the Kung Pao. Take a bowl and combine the 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp wine, 1 tbsp oil and 1 tbsp cornstarch mix. Now add the vinegar, sugar and chile paste. Mix it together and add the garlic, green onion, peanuts and the water chestnuts.
Take a skillet and heat the sauce in it till it gets aromatic.
Now remove the pieces of chicken from the marinade and saute it in a skillet till the meat gets white and the juices get clear. When you get the aromatic smell from the sauce, add the sauteed prepared chicken to it and let it simmer till the sauce gets thick.
To make the fried rice, firstly make the rice by boiling the enriched white rice and water together. Drain the water once it is done. Chop a carrot, slice the cabbage and cut some beans. Now add some oil to the skillet and fry the vegetables. Crack an egg in it and make a scramble egg out of it. Now add the rice to it. Add soy sauce, sliced garlic and salt as the last step. Garlic is an important ingredient in the fried rice or else, you will not get the desired flavor. Your fried rice is ready!
Serve the Kung Pao Chicken with fried rice or steamed rice. Your dish is ready to eat! You can also serve some chili oil with it for that extra spiciness.
