Ingredients That You Need To Prepare This Recipe:
• Olive oil – one teaspoon
• Hot Italian ground sausage meat – 4
• Sliced mushroom – 1 cup
• Sliced onion – 1
• Salt and ground pepper – for taste
• Marsala wine – ½ cup
• Roughly chopped skinless and boneless chicken thighs – 1 ½ pounds
• Chicken broth – ½ cup
• Heavy whipping cream – ½ cup
• Crushed, whole Italian plum tomatoes – 1 can
• Water – ½ cup
• Grated Romano cheese or parmigiano cheese – ½ cup
• Rigatoni – 1 pound
• Minced garlic clove – 1
• Chopped and pitted kalamata olives – ½ cup
• Chopped hot and sweet pepper – 1 ½ cups
• Chopped Italian flat leaf parsley – ¼ cup
Direction On How To Prepare This Recipe
As there are many servings in the recipe, you need a large saucepan. Place the saucepan over heat. Keep the setting medium. Add oil and once it is hot, add the ingredients: mushroom, sausage, onions, salt and black pepper. Stir all these ingredients until you find the vegetables have softened and the sausage has turned brown in color. You might need to stir this for 6 to 7 minutes.
Now it is the main step or what contributes to the taste. To the sausage mixture, add the chopped chicken mixture. Stir for some time and allow to cook over medium to high heat until it turns brown in color. Don’t leave stirring for about 5 minutes till it is preparing. Once it is time, you have to pour what gives gravy to the mixture i.e. some wine. Pour some wine and cook the mixture. Keep on stirring so as to remove any bits sticked at the bottom or sides of the pan. You have to keep on cooking for 2-3 minutes till most of the wine from the mixture has evaporated. Once you there is enough gravy in the chicken. Add tomatoes, chicken broth and some cream. Allow to simmer for some time, probably 30 minutes. You can add some water for thick gravy if you want.
Now you have to add other ingredients like garlic and olives into the chicken sauce. Allow to simmer the recipe till it has become thick. You might need to do this for about 15- 20 minutes. After this, you have to bring some taste to the recipe. For this, add salt and pepper and some parsley.
Into a large pot, add some water and bring it to boil. Into the water add, rigatoni and stir occasionally until it is cooked thoroughly. You might need to cook it for 11 minutes.
Now this is the last step but very important else the entire hard-work and time may go in vain. In this step, you have to combine the sauce and the cooked pasta. Stir and then add cheese. You can skip to add cheese as well but this is a very important component for the taste and it is not a very good idea to do so. Stir the cheese until the pasta has absorbed all the sauce. You might need to do this for about 1 to 2 minutes. With this, your recipe is complete. You can now remove it from the heat and divide into sharing.
