it is heaven on earth after having this. You can cook this in crockpot, on a stove or in a slow cooker. Here we will prepare this juicy Pork Carnitas in a Slow cooker. We can have this straight away or we can have it with tacos, burritos, salads or nachos. I bet you will love this yummy recipe once you try it and will ask for more.
We will start preparing this by rinsing the pork and sprinkling the taste makers such as salt, pepper, cumin and oregano and adding onions, garlic, bay leaves, jalapeno and juices of orange and lime and cooking it in a slow cooker until juicy and tender. Once it is done will heat it in batches with the juice of the cooked pork in a saucepan until it is brown and crispy in one side and juicy and tender the other side.

Ingredients For the Pork carnitas:
Pork butt – 4 lbs
Garlic – 8 cloves
Onion – 2
Jalapeno – 1
Bay leaves – 2
lime juice – 2 tbsp
Orange – 2
Cumin – 1 tbsp
Salt – 2 tsp
Black pepper – 2 tsp
Oregano – 1 tbsp dried
Step By Step Instructions
Wash and rinse the boneless pork butt under running tap and pat it dry with a paper towel. Sprinkle Salt and Pepper and rub all over the pork. Now add dried mexican Oregano, ground Cumin powder and little olive oil over the Pork and rub it all over the Pork.
Take a slow cooker and place the pork in it, add finely minced Garlic, chopped Onions, Jalapeno and Orange juice,Lime juice and Bay leaves and cook on low heat for about 6 to 8 hours. If you are cooking in high heat, then cook it for about 5 to 6 hours. Cook this until meat falls apart.
When the meat is tender, remove from the heat and allow it to cool for some time. Now shred the pork with the help of two forks.
You will be left with the juices in the slow cooker, do not discard it. Just skim off the fat from the juice and if you are left with more juice, just heat it to reduce
it in a saucepan. Set this aside.
When you are serving, just heat a tablespoon of oil in a non stick pan over high heat and heat the shredded pork. Drizzle the juice on top of it and let it cook until the juice evaporates. Just heat until the bottom is crusty and brown. Flip over and cook for about 2 minutes and it’s not necessary to make all parts brown and crusty as we want it to be juicy and tender. Repeat the above step in batches for the remaining shredded pork. When you are serving it, remove from heat and drizzle over some more juice and
