Recipe For The Delicious Turkish Puff Pogaca Pastry With Feta Cheese

Turkish sweet dishes are very delicious and mouth watering, you will get so many of the varieties of the pastry with different flavours. Turkish pastries are unique. The recipe of pastry with the puff pogaca is totally different and you can make it in home by just following the simple steps:

Turkish Puff Pogaca Pastry

Preparation Time- 10 Minutes
Cooking Time- 30 Minutes
Serves- 3


Milk- 100 ml hot
Sugar- 1 tablespoon
Vegetable oil- 1 tablespoon
Egg- 3
Greek Yogurt- 3 tablespoon
Vinegar- 1 teaspoon
Salt- as per taste
Flour- 2 cup
Baking powder- 1 tablespoon
Luke Warm Water- 50 ml
Sea same- 50 gm
Cheese parsley- 100 gm

Method Of Preparation:

Step 1

Take the 100 ml of the hot milk and then melt the sugar into it with the spoon. Now take the bowl and add the egg and the Greek yogurt into it, add the 1 table spoon of the vegetable oil, 1 tea spoon of the vinegar and the salt to it, now take the whisker and mix all of them. Now when the mixture is whisk all together then add the water into it, then add 2 cup of the flour into it, now add the 1 tablespoon of the baking powder into it.

Step 2

Take the 50 ml of the Luke warm water and then add 1 packet of the yeast into it, now add the sugar into it, sugar is used to activated the yeast so that it will start work, when the bubbles are coming out from it and then add this to the mixture and then mix all of them together use your hands to mix them, make the soft dough from it, now add the poly foil on the top and then leave it for 1 hour so that it will rise.

Step 3

Now when your dough is risen up then take out it in the plate and sprinkle some of the flour so that it will not stick on the hands, now roll it on the board and make small pieces of it by the cutter, make sure that you have all the equal shapes.

Step 4

Now take the one piece and then add the plenty of the flour on it and then take the roller and make a thin circular shape of from it. Now brush the mixture of the vegetable oil and the butter on the circular shape dough. Now cover it with the another circular dough completely. Now again at the top brush the mixture and then again place another circular dough, make 4 shapes and then place it on the top.

Step 5

Now roll it from the corners and make the shape of the roller. Now cut the edges and then cut the remaining part into equally small pieces. Now on the board sprinkle some of the flour and then take out one piece from the roller and then tap it from the centre through the fingers and then make a circular disk of it. Now place the cheese parsley in the centre and cover it.  Do this for all the remaining pieces and then place it on the another plate.

Step 6

Take out the egg yolk in another jar and brush it on every piece. This will give the crunchy texture to the pastry. Now sprinkle the sesame seeds on it and then leave it for another 15 minutes, so that it will again rise.

Step 7

Now take the pre heated oven at the 400 F and then bake it for the 25-30 minutes so that the pastry will cook from inside. Take it out and then enjoy the delicious pastry.
