Orange chicken is one of the Chinese-american dishes, that is very much popular and loved by the people around the globe. This tasty dish also known as orange peel chicken, can be found at any well known Chinese take-out restaurants, is actually a mouth-watering Juicy fried chicken pieces coated in a thin batter and tossed in a delicious tangy, sweet and spicy sauce.
We prepare the dish by making the orange sauce first, for which we take orange zest, soy sauce, cornstarch, garlic, vinegar etc. Then we make the batter that required cornstarch, pepper powder and egg. Next, we coat the chicken pieces in the thin batter and fry till they are golden brown. Finally, we dip them in the delicious sauce and Bingo! Its ready to be served.

½ tablespoon of rice vinegar
3 tablespoon of soy sauce
1 teaspoon of grated ginger
1 garlic clove chopped
1 tablespoon of cornstarch
1/5 tablespoon of brown sugar
¼ teaspoon of red pepper flakes

Boneless, chicken thigh pieces (4)
2 tablespoon of Cornstarch
Salt and pepper (according to taste)
2 tablespoon of oil
Recipe Of Orange Chicken Step By Step Instruction:
At first, extract the orange pulp about 1 teaspoon from the orange with a cheese grater and then make ½ cup of juice out of the orange. Next, take a sauce-pan and mix orange juice and pulp with rice vinegar, soy sauce, ½ tablespoon of cornstarch, grated ginger and garlic, brown sugar and red pepper flakes. Now mix them properly till cornstarch dissolves completely, then place the pan over medium heat and let it simmer. As it turns to become thick after 5-6 minutes, remove it from the heat.
Next, take the chicken and carefully cut the extra fats off from the chicken thigh and make 3 or 4 inches pieces out of it.
Now take a mixing bowl and make the batter by combining the ingredients as cornstarch, egg, salt and pepper. Then whisk them well till it turns into a foamy and smooth. After, drop the chicken pieces into the batter and coat them nicely.
Take a big skillet and place it over medium to high heat for few minutes till it becomes hot. Next add 2 tablespoon of edible oil and spin the skillet a bit to let the oil coat the bottom properly. Now drop chicken pieces carefully into the skillet in a way that they don’t stack one above another. Fry them nicely till they become golden brown. Flip them over and fry similarly so they can be cooked from all sides.
Finally, turn off the heat and slowly add the orange sauce over the chicken pieces. Stir nicely so they can be coated well by the sauce and the delicious orange chicken is ready.
You can garnish it by spreading some sesame seeds, spring onions and orange slices. Now serve it hot with steamed rice.
