Flavorful Tuscan Garlic Chicken Recipe

Holidays are the perfect times to indulge in special restaurant-quality dishes. However; this super delicious dish will do away with this misconception of yours as soon as you take a bite of soft chicken and the creamy yet flavorful sauce. Unlike many white sauce chicken recipes, this dish is not bland and offers a medley of flavors, only to wonderfully balance with the subtle flavors of chicken.

Tuscan Garlic Chicken

1½ pounds of thinly sliced chicken breasts (boneless and skinless)
1 cup of heavy cream
1 cup of chopped spinach
1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
½ cup of grated parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons of olive oil
½ cup of sun dried tomatoes
½ cup of chicken broth (Homemade or store-bought)
1 teaspoon of garlic powder

Preparation Procedure:

Step 1

Take the chicken breasts and remove the skin and bones from them if they are not already skinned and boneless. Once done, slice them up thinly across the grain to get the strips. Transfer them to a plate and then fetch a skillet.

Step 2

Place the skillet over the stove hob and then adjust the heat to medium. Pour the required amount of olive oil into the skillet and wait until it heats up a little. Once that happens, drop he chicken strips into the hot oil and brown them sufficiently for 3 to 5 minutes on each side. Once done, remove the chicken from the skillet.

Step 3

Now pour the heavy cream into the same skillet and scrape the base of the skillet a little to get the chicken bits. Heat up the heavy cream for a minute or two and then to that, add the chicken broth, Italian seasoning, and the grated parmesan cheese. Give a nice stir to mix everything up and then allow the mixture to cook for 5-6 minutes or until the sauce starts to thicken. Make sure you give a light stir occasionally to prevent the sauce from sticking to the skillet.

Step 4

Once the sauce thickens up a bit, add the chopped spinach and the sun dried tomatoes to it. Cook the sauce until the spinach turns soft and starts to wilt. Once done, return the browned chicken strips back into the skillet and stir to mix it well with the creamy sauce. Serve over pasta or warm rice and enjoy.
