This step involves the making of gnocchi. Boil water in a large container and add potatoes in it. Keep the potatoes in the boiling water for 40-50 minutes or until they turn soft and tender. Drain the water later. Peel the skin of the potatoes and press each through a sieve. Finally keep into a bowl.
White the potatoes still have some warmth, add butter egg, 1 teaspoon of salt and half the flour. Mix the ingredients lightly. Knead gradually in enough of the remaining flour. The final consistency of the dough should be soft, smooth but still slightly sticky.
Now take the dough and roll into sausage of 2.5 cm. cut into pieces of 2 cm and add into a floured tea towel in order to prevent the gnocchi from sticking together.
Add water into a large container and boil water into it. Put the gnocchi into the boiling water one by one and allow each to cook for 2-3 minutes or until they start floating onto the surface. Meanwhile, you can heat butter in a large skillet. Add garlic, and shallot into the pan and allow to soften for the next 5-6 minutes. Add Samphire into the mixture and cook for 4-6 minutes more.
Now transfer gnocchi into the pan with parsley. Stir and toss everything together. When done, season further. This completes the recipe, serve into a plate with the remaining parsley.
