Hot And Sour Garlic Lemon Chicken

Chicken is a good source of protein and it is expensive too. As chicken itself does not have any strong taste or smell, you can mix anything with chicken to make it tastier. In these preparation lots of garlic, green chili and lemon juice have been mixed with the chicken. Garlic, lemon and chili actually have enhanced the nutritious value of the chicken. Both lemon and green chili is a good source of vitamin C which not only helps to improve the health of the skin, it also saves you from cold and cough. Garlic saves you from joint pain and garlic and lemon jointly improves the immunity system of the body.

Chicken 500 grams
2 potatoes
2 large onions
10 cloves of garlic
10 green chilies
2 lemons
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoon canola oils

Methods Of Preparation:

Step 1

Cut chicken into moderate size. Rub some salt over them.

Step 2

Squeeze 2 lemons and eliminate the seeds. Sleet green chilies and remove seeds. Peel garlic. In a grinder add lemon juice, garlic and green chilies. Grind them to paste. Marinate chicken pieces with this paste for an hour. Lemon juice will help to make the chicken tender and chicken pieces will get ample time to absorb the smell of the spice.

Step 3

Make juliennes of onion and keep them aside. Peel potato and make moderate piece of potatoes.

Step 4

Add 2 tablespoons canola oil in a pan. Let it heat. Then add potato pieces over them. Sprinkle some salt over them. Stir them continuously to fry them. Remove them from oiling. Add onion slices. Add butter in the oil. Stir continuously. Fry them on low flame. Keep the lid on. It will serve to melt onion. Add chicken according with its marination. Add fried potato too. Stir to mix everything. Keep the lid on and cook it on low flame for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes remove the lid and check whether the chicken is soft or not. Check the salt. Now your slurry type gravy is prepared.

Step 5

Serve this spicy gravy with steamed rice.
