Duck recipes are almost favorite of every body. Here is a delicious duck recipe which you can try in your home as a snack dish. Basically it is a Chinese dish. This yummy recipe contains two level of cooking; first steaming and then frying. As in the steaming process no spices are used in this dish thus this dish is not so heavy and not very spicy also.
Duck In Chili Dip:
Preparation Time: 20 Minutes
Cooking Time: 35 Minutes
Duck Breast 4 pieces (keep the skin on them, each should be of 150 gm weight)
Refined Flour 2 table spoon
Chili Powder 3 tea spoon
Sea Salt 3 tea spoon
refined oil for frying
Red Chili 1 (take a big one, slit it vertically), Spring Onion 3 (chop them), Lemon 2 (make equal halves from them), Szechuan Pepper Corn 2 table spoon (grinded in to powder form), salt to taste.
For Preparing The Dip You Will Need:
Rice Vinegar/ White Vinegar ½ cup, Sugar ½ cup+ 2 table spoon, water ¼ cup, Garlic 3 cloves (chop it finely), dried chili powder 1 table spoon, Corn Starch 1 ½ table spoon (dilute it in 3-4 table spoon of cold water).
For preparation of this dish the first thing that you will need a steamer basket. Now take a heat proof plate which can easily fit in this steamer basket. Now pour the chicken breasts on that heat proof plate. Put the plate in to the steamer.
Take one big saucepan and fill it with water. Now allow it boil and when the water starts boiling keep the steamer on it. Cover the duck breast and steam it for 12 minutes until the duck breast cooked half way.
Now take another bowl and pour refined flour in it. Also mix dried red chili powder and salt in it. Combine all these ingredients to make a uniform dry mixture.
Take off the plate from the steamer and allow cooling the duck breast for near about 25 minutes. Now toss this duck breast in the dry refined flour and red chili powder mixture.
Now pour refined oil in a non stick pan and allow it to boil in low flame. Pour the duck breast in the oil and deep fry it for about 2 minutes. Fry the duck breast in low flame to cook it completely from inside. When it turns golden remove it from flame.
Now it is time to prepare the dip. Take a glass bowl and pour rice vinegar in it. Also pour sugar, water, salt, chopped garlic and red chili powder in it. Combine all the ingredients appropriately to prepare a mixture.
Pour this mixture in a non stick pan and allow it to boil. Keep the flame medium and boil it for 10 minutes more. Now keep the flame low and now add the diluted corn starch in this mixture.
Stir the mixture continuously until the sauce thickens. Then remove the sauce from the flame and pour it in a small bowl. Now slice your duck breasts. Then take a serving dish and pour the duck slices on the serving plate.
Sprinkle chili and spring onion on the duck slices. Serve it with the sauce that you have prepared. Your delicious Duck in Chili Dip in now ready to serve.
