This recipe is an ideal recipe to be served in your snack. The key ingredients used in this recipe are Catfish which is very nutritious. First you have to boil the fish and then make balls mixing with the other ingredients. Then fry the balls and serve it with Burnt Pepper salsa which is also very easy to prepare, also makes your snack colorful.
Fish Balls In Burnt Pepper Salsa:
Preparation Time: 20 Minutes
Cooking Time: 15 Minutes
Cat Fish 500 gm (boil it and make paste out of this boiled fish)
Onion Powder 1 tsp
Garlic Powder 1 tsp
Oregano ½ tsp
Lemon Juice 1 tbsp
All Purpose Flour 1 tbsp
Corn Flour 1 tbsp
Bread crumb 1 cup
Black Pepper Powder 1 tsp
Paprika Powder 1 tsp
Egg 2 or as required
Salt to taste
Refined Oil 1 cup
Pour all the ingredients (except oil) in a bowl and mix them well to form soft dough. Now make small round balls from this dough. Here your fish balls are ready.
Pour the content of the egg in a bowl; add a pinch of salt in it and beat it well. Now take another bowl and pour bread crumb in it. Add salt and pepper to taste in it and mix well.
Pour the fish balls in the egg batter and roll them on bread crumb. Again dip it in egg batter and again roll it in bread crumb. In the same process prepare all the fish balls.
Take a non stick pan, pour refined oil in the pan and allow it to boil in low flame. Pour the fish balls gently in this oil and fry them until they turn golden brown. When they are done take them out of the pan and keep them on paper tissues.
For pepper salsa chop 3 types of colored bell peppers in thin strips. Then add chopped onion, chopped green chili, salt and black pepper to taste in it.
Then take a non stick pan and allow it to boil in medium heat. Do not add oil in the pan. Now pour the previously prepared mixture in this pan and roast the salsa in the pan for 4-5 minutes.
Stir it continuously while cooking it. Then pour the burnt pepper salsa in a bowl. Serve your Fish Balls in Burnt Pepper Salsa hot in your snack time.
