Healthy dishes are good for our health. But there is a common thought that healthy foods are not so tasty. But it is not correct. Try tasty & healthy Veg Chicken Pie in your kitchen. We have used lots of vegetables and chicken in the dish which makes it healthy also very tasty.
Veg & Chicken Pie:
Preparation Time: 25 minutes
Cooking Time: 50 minutes
Butter 1 cup, Refined Flour 3 cup, Baking powder 1 tea spoon, Water as required, Carrots 1 cup (chopped), Beans 1 cup (Chopped), Capsicum ½ cup (chopped), Onions 4 table spoon (chopped), Garlic 1 table spoon (chopped), Mixed Italian Spice 1 tea spoon, Chili Flakes 1 tea spoon, Chopped Parsley 1 tea spoon, Mushroom ½ cup, Chicken 1 cup, Potato ½ cup (boiled), Cheese 50 gm (grated) , Olive Oil as required, Chicken broth 1 ½ cup.
Strain the flour and baking soda with a sieve. Melt the butter and then add it to the flour. Mix well and water to form Smooth dough from these ingredients. Keep the dough in refrigerator for near about 15 minutes to set it.
Take the dough out from the refrigerator and roll it with a rolling pin. If required sprinkle some loose refined flour while rolling the dough in a round shape. Now set it in to a pie mould. Bake the pie for 20 minutes in 230 degree centigrade in oven.
Take a pan and heat a little olive oil in it. Add chopped onion and garlic in it. Sauté them and cook for 2-3 minutes. Then add all the chopped veggies and mushroom in it. Let it cook for 5-7 minutes that the veggies get soft. Add boiled potatoes and stir.
Then add Mixed Italian Spices, Chili Flakes, Chopped parsley and chicken broth in it. Also add salt and black pepper powder as per taste. Stir it for some time. Stir it for some time. Add grated cheese in to it. When done set it aside to be cool.
Now evenly pour this mixture in the previously baked pie. Cut thin stripes from the dough that you have made in step 1 for the pie. Apply them on the top of the mixture. Bake the whole thing for 10 minutes in your oven. Now your Veg Chicken Pie is ready to serve.
