Lip Smacking Continental Fish Pastry

To prepare this lip smacking recipe you have to boil the fish first and then mash it. You have to make the filling with it. Now in the same process boil and mash the potatoes. Mix black pepper, milk and other spices in it. Mix chopped garlic, carrots and celery leaves in it. Add grated cheese, all the seasoning and cook it for some time. Now grease your baking tray and make a layer of fish and spices. Now cover it up with potato mixture and even it with a spatula. Bake the whole thing for 30 minutes and then serve this dish.

Continental Fish Pastry:

Preparation Time: 20 Minutes
Cooking Time: 45 Minutes
Serves: 8

Ingredients:

Boneless Fish 600 gm
Lemon Juice 2 tbsp
Butter 50 gm
Onion 1 (big sized and chopped)
Garlic 2 cloves (chopped)
Carrot 1 (chopped)
Celery 1 (chopped)
Grand Pedano cheese 50 gm(grated)
milk 200 ml.

For Toppings You Will Need:

Peeled Potato 500 gm
Butter 50 gm
Nutmeg Powder ½ tsp (grinded)
Milk 4 tbsp
Black Pepper Corn a few.

Method:

Step 1

First clean the fish properly with Luke warm water. Then take a deep pan and pour chicken or fish stock in this bowl. Add lemon juice in it.

Step 2

Now pour fish in it and then boil it in low flame for 20-30 minutes until it get soft. When it is done turn off the flame and keep it aside so that it gets cooled.

Step 3

Then debone the fish and then mash the boiled fish completely with your fingers. Now peel the potatoes and then boil it. Then pour the boiled potatoes in a bowl and also mash it completely.

Step 4

Now add butter, nutmeg powder, milk, black pepper powder and salt in this bowl. Then mix it well with the mashed potato so that all the ingredients get mixed completely.

Step 5

Now preheat your oven in 90 degree Celsius. Take a nonstick pan and then pour 50 gm of butter in it. Allow it to boil and then add chopped onion in it. Fry the chopped onion for 5 minutes.

Step 6

Add garlic, carrot and celery leaves with the chopped onion; star fry it again for 5 minutes more. Then add boiled and mashed fish in it.

Step 7

Add grated cheese in it and mix well. Wait until the cheese start melting. Now add milk and sprinkle black pepper powder from top. Again mix it well.

Step 8

Then take an ovenproof dish or baking dish. Coat it with butter and then pour fish mixture in it. Make it even with a spatula. Now pour the mashed potato mixture on it and spread it evenly on the fish mixture.

Step 9

Now bake it for 30 minutes. When the mashed potato mixture changes its color take it out from the oven. Cut it into pieces and then serve Continental Fish Pastry with mixed salad.
