Pasta is a popular food item which is popular among the people around this globe. Basically, pasta is an Italian food as it is originated from Italy. But now pasta is so popular in almost every part of this globe. It is because the recipe of pasta is so simple to prepare and the ingredients needed for this dish is so simple.
While we are preparing creamy tomato spinach pasta, you can easily understand that spinach and tomatoes are the key ingredients for this recipe. We also used two types of cheese in this recipe while preparing the creamy sauce. The whole recipe is very is so easy that anybody can prepare it easily.
Creamy Tomato Spinach Pasta:
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 20 minutes
Penne Pasta 350 gm
Onion 1 (small)
Garlic Cloves 2
Olive Oil 1 tbsp
Tomatoes 100 gm (diced)
Oregano ½ tsp (dried)
Basil leaves ½ tsp (dried)
Chili Flakes ¼ tsp
Black Pepper powder as per taste
Tomato Puree 2 tbsp
Cream Cheese 75 gm
Parmesan Cheese ¼ cup (grated)
Fresh Spinach 150 gm.
Take a deep pan and fill it with water. Pour the pasta in it and start it to boil in high flame. Add a pinch of salt in it and stir it occasionally. Cook the pasta until it turns soft which will take around 8-10 minutes. When it is done turn off the flame and drain the excess water. Keep the boiled pasta on a sieve so that the remaining water got drained. Cut the cream cheese into small pieces and keep them aside to use in later steps of this recipe.
Now in this step, we will ready the veggies. Chop the spinach finely, clean them properly with plenty of water, strain the excess water and keep it aside to use in the later part of this recipe. Cut the onion in dice shape. Then mince the garlic cloves. Now take another pan and put it on the flame. Pour a little olive oil in it and allow it to boil over medium heat. Now pour diced onion and minced garlic in it. Cook it until they turn transparent.
Now add dried oregano leaves, basil leaves and chili flakes in it. Also, add diced tomatoes in it and stir it well so that all the ingredients get mixed well. Do not forget to add salt and black pepper powder as per taste. Stir it for a while. Cook it for 4-5 minutes so that tomatoes are getting soft.
In this step add tomato paste in the pan and mix it well. Add ½ cup water in it to mix the thing well and turn the flame to low. Add the pieces of the cream cheese that we have prepared in step 1. Stir the sauce continuously until the cream cheese gets melted. When the cheese got completely melted and it turns creamy add ½ portions of the Parmesan cheese in the sauce. Stir it continuously so that the cheese gets quickly melted.
Also, add the remaining Parmesan cheese in the pan and wait until it gets completely melted. Add chopped spinach to the pan and mix it again with all the other ingredients. Cook the whole thing for 5 minutes. Now finally add the boiled penne pasta in the pan and stir well to mix them thoroughly. Add salt and sugar as per taste. Serve Creamy Tomato Spinach Pasta hot.
