Lip Smacking Pasta Casserole Recipes

Pasta is the comfort food of the whole wide world. Everyone relates too it and everyone chooses it to comfort their foul mood. The aroma and taste of pasta is enhanced by the sauces and cheese. It’s a full meal in itself and is liked by kids and adults alike.

Pasta casserole is the easiest way to have that exact taste and aroma without the hassle of having different bowls and cooking. It’s a one pot answer to your pizza needs. You can make it quickly in a movie night or whenever hunger strikes. Given below are 2 ways in which pasta casserole can be made. Both have unique and easily available ingredients and you can start as soon as possible.

Spinach Chicken Pasta Casserole:

Spinach Chicken Pasta Casserole

Preparation Time: 20 Minutes
Cooking Time: 20 Minutes
Serves: 4

Ingredients:

Chicken breast (boneless): 4 cups
Spinach leaves: 4 cups
Penne pasta: 3 cups
Mozzarella cheese (shredded) : 2 cups
Parmesan cheese: 2 cup
Olive oil: to drizzle
Salt: a pinch
Pepper: 1/2 teaspoon
Bread slices (optional): 4 to 5

Method:

Step 1

Cut the chicken in bite size pieces and stir fry in olive oil with a bit of salt. Set it aside.

Step 2

Take a non stick saucepan and cook the pasta for 7 minutes or till it becomes al dente i.e chewy but not fully cooked.

Step 3

Drain the pasta on a colander and set it aside. Drizzle olive oil above it and sprinkle salt over it. Wash the spinach leaves and blanch it for 3-4 minutes.

Step 4

Take a convection flat pan or a baking tray and grease it with olive oil. Now line the bottom with bread slices (optional)

Step 5

Now, take half of the pasta and spread over the slices. Sprinkle a bit of olive oil and then add a layer of Parmesan cheese over the pasta.

Step 6

Add the blanched spinach over it and add the layer of chicken. Sprinkle a bit of salt and pepper over it. Now add the remaining pasta and make an even layer  add a layer of mozzarella cheese over it and sprinkle a bit of olive oil.

Step 7

Bake the dish for 20 minutes at 160 degrees Celsius. Keep on checking it to see if it’s not getting burnt. Remove and serve pie sized piece with garlic bread.

Ingredients:

Marinara sauce: 2 cups
Penne pasta: 3 cups
Mozzarella cheese (shredded) : 2 cups
Parmesan cheese: 2 cup
Olive oil: to drizzle
Salt: a pinch
Chilli flakes: 2 teaspoon
Oregano flakes: 2 teaspoon
Bread slices (optional): 4 to 5

Method:

Step 1

Step 2
