10-12 chicken wings
2 tablespoons honey
black pepper powder
6 green chilies
100 grams small prawns
1 bunch fresh mint leaves
1 bunch cilantro
salt and oil
Methods Of Preparation:
Add chicken wings in a container and sprinkle some salt over them. Add 2 tablespoons vinegar over them and mix them with your fingers. Marinate them for at least an hour.
First you need to make the sauce. To make it first dress the prawns. Remove shells of the prawns, de-vein it and eliminate their heads. Take the soft body part only. Now boil these prawns in hot salty water for 10-15 minutes to make them soft. After that, remove them from water. However,, do not drain the water. Preserve the water. Now add fresh mint leaves and little amount of fresh cilantro in a grinder. Add green chili in it. Add boiled prawn in it. Grind them to paste. Add 1 tablespoon oil in a pan, heat it and this paste. Pour the prawn water also and cook them on high flame till the sauce gets thick. Add salt if you need more. Remove them from heat. Add a few drops of lemon juice in it and mix well. Now your mint prawn sauce is ready.
Chop cilantro and green chili and keep them separately.
Heat 3 tablespoons oil on a pan. Heat it. Add chicken wings. Stir them for a minute. Add 1 tablespoon onion powder, 1 tablespoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon ginger powder over them. Mix well and cook them on low flame for 7-8 minutes keeping the lid on. After that, remove the lid. You will see that a good amount of water has already come from the chicken. Prick one fork over a piece of chicken and see whether it is tender enough. If it has turned soft already, make the flame high to dry out the water. When the preparation is dry enough add black pepper powder over them. Check the salt. Now to make the sweet taste, pour the honey over them. Mix well. Sprinkle chopped cilantro and chopped green chili removing their seeds over them. Mix them. Your sweet and tangy chicken wings are ready.
Serve them hot with mint prawn sauce and fresh salads. It is a tasty snack.
