Thus having low calorie yet delicious muffins should be preferred by us in order to lead a healthy life. To prepare a low fat blueberry muffin, you will require the following ingredients that are mentioned below:
Cooking spray, 1 ½ cups of wheat bran, ½ cup of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of milk, ½ cup of wheat flour, ½ cup of applesauce (unsweetened), 1 teaspoon of baking soda, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 1 egg, 2/3 cup of brown sugar, ½ teaspoon of salt, ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract and 1 cup of blueberries and butter.

By following the below mentioned procedure you will be able to prepare blueberry muffins that will have very low calorie.
At first you should preheat the oven to 180 degree Celsius.
After that you should take the muffin cups and grease them well with the help of cooking spray or you can also use paper muffin liners to grease them properly. Apart from this, you can also line regular size muffin cups with paper baking cups.
Then take a large bowl and sieve together all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
Add butter cubes to the bowl and at first coat the butter cubes in the flour. Then gently rub the butter to the flour with the help of your fingertips. After that shake the bowl well to bring the large lumps to the top and allow air to pass through. You should continue this procedure until the mixture resembles fine bread crumbs.
After that in a separate bowl mix applesauce egg, brown sugar, milk and vanilla extract properly. Then put all the ingredients of this bowl in the bran mixture and stir well for 2 minutes. While stirring, you should avoid over mixing the ingredients.
You should stir the flour mixture well in the bran mixture until they get completely blended.
After that take some frozen blueberries and add a little flour to it. Keep them aside in a freezer. Take some fresh blueberries, crush them with a fork and then stir well the mashed blueberries.
Then you should fold in the blueberries and fill the mixture into the muffin cups with the help of a spoon.
You can bake 5-6 muffin cups at first and then the remaining ones.
Bake the muffin cups in preheated oven for 20 minutes and then lower the temperature. After that bake for some time until the tops become light golden or brown in colour with few moist crumbs. If you have baked the muffins in paper baking cups, then you should remove it immediately from the baking pan and allow it to cool down. But if the muffins were baked in sprayed pan, then you should leave it there for 2-3 minutes and then remove it from the pan.
Allow the muffins to cool down or you can also have warm muffins for your breakfast along with a cup of tea.
