Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Pheasant Poppers

Preparation Time : 30 Minutes
Cooking Time : 10 Minutes
Serves : 6

Ingredients :

12 Slices of bacon
Bamboo skewers – 6 (soak it in water for 15 minutes)
36 toothpicks
Sliced jalapeno – 4 ounce (from jar)
Pheasant Breast – 1 1/2 pound

Method Of Preparation :

Step 1

Cut the pheasant into 36 small pieces and place them into a bowl.

Step 2

Now take the jalapeno pepper and pour the liquid from it over the pieces of pheasant. Stir it and let it marinate for 15 minutes.

Step 3

Preheat the grill to medium heat and you would need to oil the grate of the grill lightly.

Step 4

Now take the marinated pheasant and drain the excess marinade. We do not need the liquid in the pheasant. Place a jalapeno pepper in each of the pheasant breast piece. Cut the bacon into thirds and use the thirds to cover the stuffed pheasants. You need to wrap the pheasant with the bacon thirds.

Step 5

On one skewer, you can skewer at least 6 pieces of the wrapped pheasant.

Step 6

Cook these wrapped pheasants on the preheated grill. Turn it frequently. Make sure the bacon gets crispy. This should take 15 minutes.
