Here Is Mouthwatering Sesame Chicken Recipe:
Servings : 2
Preparation Time : 10 minutes
Cooking Time : 10 minutes
Ingredients Required :
8 oz. of boneless and skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
1 garlic clove, peeled and minced
Oil, for deep frying
White sesame seeds, for garnishing
2 tablespoons of oil
For The Sauce :
1 tablespoon of Chinese rice vinegar
2 teaspoons of corn starch
2 tablespoons of dark soy sauce
1/3rd cup of water, at room temperature
4 tablespoons of white granulated sugar
For The Batter :
1/2 cup of all purpose flour
1 egg white
1 tablespoon of oil
1/4th cup of cornstarch
1/3rd cup of cold water
A pinch of salt
1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
Preparation Procedure :
Take a medium sized bowl and combine all the ingredients required for the sauce in the bowl. Once well combine, set the bowl aside. Now fetch another bowl and then dump the flour, cornstarch, baking powder and salt in it.
Mix all the dry ingredients well with a spoon and then add-in the egg white, oil and the water. Mix the batter until it is well combined and there are no lumps in it. Once ready, drop the chicken pieces one by one into the batter. Toss the chicken pieces in the batter to coat them evenly with the batter. Once done, set the batter coated chicken aside.
Now take a wok or stockpot and fill it up with 2 to 3 inches of oil. Place the wok over high heat and wait for the oil to become piping hot. Once that happens, take the batter dipped chicken and drop the pieces one by one slowly into the hot oil.
Loosen the chicken pieces immediately with a spatula after dropping them into the oil. This will prevent them from sticking together. Fry the chicken pieces while stirring them occasionally, until they turn crispy and golden brown in color.
Once ready, use a slotted spoon or strainer to remove the chicken from the hit oil. Transfer the fried chicken pieces to a dish lined with paper towels to drain away the excess water. Finally, discard the remaining oil and then get hold of another skillet or wok.
Drizzle 2 tablespoons of oil in the wok and wait for it to get heated up. Once that happens, add the minced garlic and stir fry it for a few minutes or until it turns soft and aromatic. Finally, add-in the sauce mixture. Turn up the heat and let the sauce boil for a few minutes or until if thickens up a bit.
Once you get the right consistency for the sauce, drop the fried chicken pieces one by one into the sauce. Toss them lightly with a spatula to coat them well with the sauce. Let cook for another 1 to 2 minutes and then serve in a serving platter. Garish with white sesame seeds and serve immediately.
