Here’s The Recipe For A Delicious Brownie Fudge Pie
Preparation Time: 35 minutes
Cooking Time: 50 minutes
Servings: 8 pieces
Flour: 175 grams
Icing Sugar: 2 tablespoon
Brown Sugar: 300 grams
Butter (room temperature butter cut into pieces): 85 grams
Vanilla extract: 1 teaspoon
Eggs: 3 pieces
Cinnamon powder: 1 teaspoon
Melted butter: 175 grams
Cocoa powder: 50 grams
Plain flour: 50 grams
Dark chocolate: 50 grams
Ice cream: For serving
Chopped nuts: 50 grams
Method of Preparation:
To make the crust for the pie, mix 175 grams of flour with 85 grams of butter (chopped into small pieces), cinnamon powder and icing sugar in a food processor. Pulse for a minute or so until the flour and butter mixture attains a crumbly texture. Add 2 to 3 tablespoon of water into the mixture to facilitate mixing. When the dough comes together, wrap it with a cling film and let it chill in a refrigerator for 20 minutes.
Pre-heat the oven to 180 degree Celsius. Bring out the dough from the fridge and roll it out on a lightly floured surface. Take a deep tart tin, around 23 cm long and use the rolled dough to line it. Do not bother about the excess dough hanging out of the dish. Let it hang from the edges and line it with a parchment paper. Fill it up with baking beans and keep it in the fridge for 15 minutes, allowing it to set completely.
It is now time to bake the pie crust. Let it bake for 15 minutes, before removing the baking beans and parchment paper placed over the dough. Remove them and bake for an additional 5 minutes, until it turns crispy and light golden in colour.
Now let’s prepare the brownie. Take the eggs along with brown sugar and beat well until it becomes fluffy and creamy. Stir in the vanilla and melted butter. Slowly fold the remaining 50 grams flour into the egg mixture. Add the cocoa powder and mix everything together.
Take the pie crust and sprinkle chopped nuts and pieces of dark chocolate on it. Pour the creamy brownie mix on top and let it bake for 30 minutes. Check whether your brownie is done after 25 minutes. If it looks slightly wobbly, it is a clear indication that the brownie is now ready. However, the sides must be firm. Remove it from the oven and trim away the excess crust from the brownie fudge pie. Let it cool for some time before cutting it into pieces. If required, you can freeze the brownie and serve later. To freeze, wrap it with a cling film and completely cover with an aluminium foil.
Cut the Brownie Fudge Pie into small squares and serve it warm or cold with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream. Dust some cocoa powder on top along with icing sugar to complete your dish.
