Peas- 150 gm frozen
Corn starch- 1 tablespoon
Cumin powder- 1 teaspoon
Cinnamon powder- 1 teaspoon
Turmeric powder- 1 teaspoon
Smoked paprika- 1 teaspoon
Cumin seeds- 1 teaspoon
Garlic cloves- 2
Parsley leaves- 1 tablespoon
Soy sauce- 1 tablespoon
White wine- 2 tablespoon
Salt- as per taste
Methods Of Preparation
In this first you need to take the cabbage, cut the bottom part of it, now you need to take out the top leaf of it, place this on the board, take the sharp knife and cut it into half, cut it again in the quarter, take one quarter and chopped it very fine and make the thin slices of it, do this process for all the cabbages.
Now you need to take the sieve bowl, add the cabbage to it, put it in the running water and then place it in the bowl, add the water to it, slowly all the cabbage will start floating to the top, now take it out and place this to the kitchen cloth, tap it and soak out the water from the cabbages.
Now you need to take the bowl, add the water to it, take out the frozen beans in it, as the beans come to the room temperature, drain the water and add the fresh water to it, add little bit of the salt to it, place this over the medium heat, cover the lid and leave it for about the 10 minutes, so that it will get cooked.
Now you need to take the bowl, add the corn starch to it, add the cumin seed powder, cinnamon powder, turmeric powder, oregano, smoked paprika to it, mix all the things well and get the even consistency, now you need to take all the cabbage, mix it with the mixture of the spices, leave it for sometime, so that the flavors will get infused in the cabbage.
Take the skillet, put it on the low heat, as the skillet is hot, add the butter to it, as the butter is melted, add the cumin seeds to it, fry it for about 10 seconds, now add the chopped garlic to it, after 10 seconds, add the chopped onions and the chopped green chili to it, fry all the things for sometime with the covered lid.
As the onions are translucent, add the cabbage mixture to it, mix the onions to the cabbage, add little of the soy sauce and the white wine to it, cover the lid and cook it for 2 minutes, there is plenty of the water in the skillet, now add the boiled peas to it, leave it for 5 minutes, so that the water will get evaporated.
Take out the cabbage to the serving plate, sprinkle finely chopped parsley leaves on it and served it. The delicious spicy cajun cabbage is ready to eat.
