Ingredients Needed For The White Sauce:

• Plain flour – 50 gram
• Milk – 600 ml
• Butter – 50 gram
• Grated tasty cheese – 100 gram

Direction To Prepare The Recipe:

Step 1

The first step involves making of white sauce. For this, take a large pan and place on heat. Melt the butter into the pan. Add flour after and then stir. The setting should be high. Add milk and allow to boil for some time. Don’t leave whisking until it becomes smooth and thick. Season with pepper and salt and then add the grated cheese. Mix for one last time and then place aside with the surface of the paste covered with a cling film. This is important so as to avoid any kind of clinging to the surface.

Step 2

Place a large casserole dish on heat and put some oil to it. Heat the oil and then add onions, garlic, salt and black pepper for taste. Stir and cook slowly until you find all the onions have become soft. Make sure that the onions should not leave color. Take half portion of this mixture and pour into a bowl containing breadcrumbs and milk. The mixture remaining into the pan, remove into a platter with a slotted spoon making sure that the oil is left behind. Place the platter aside.

Step 3

Take a large bowl and add minced meat, lots of salt, chopped parsley, pepper and breadcrumbs. Use your hand to mix all of these ingredients. Mix until the whole mixture becomes lumpy or pasty. Now take a small dough from this mixture and shape to form a pin-pong ball. Heat the casserole dish and add the bolls into the oil. Add one by one or in batches. After removing the last batch of bolls, return the removed onions to the dish. Add some wine and allow to bubble on high heat. Keep on scrapping the bottom of the dish. Add tomatoes and meatball back to the dish and allow to simmer for 5 minutes. The best thing about this is that the meatballs can be prepared 2 days ago and stored into the refrigerator.

Step 4

Set the oven at 200 degree Celsius. Take the macaroni out and boil it as per the instruction given at the back of the packet. Drain the water from the macaroni and mix it with meatball sauce. Take a large ovenproof dish and add white sauce to it. If the sauce is solid then warm slightly before adding. Add the remaining cheese. Bake the dish for about 35-40 minutes or until it bubbles and becomes golden in color.

Step 5

This completes your recipe. Serve in a platter with meatballs and sauce.
