Let’s Look At The Recipe Of Japanese Smoked Salmon And Avocado Sushi:

Preparation Time: 20 Minutes
Cooking Time: 10 Minutes
Servings: 32 Pieces

Smoked salmon: 4 large slices
Sushi rice: 300 grams
Avocado: 1 large
Nori seaweed: 4 sheets
Caster sugar: 1 teaspoon
Lemon juice: from half lemon
White wine vinegar: 2 tablespoon
Chives: 1 bunch
Sweet soy sauce: 3 tablespoon

Method Of Preparation:

Step 1

To prepare the sushi rolls, cook the rice first. In a small pan heat 600ml of water and add the rice. Let it boil and cook for 10 minutes. Gradually, the rice will absorb water and it will turn soft and tender. As the rice softens, add white wine vinegar or rice vinegar along with some caster sugar. Mix well, cover and let it cool down.

Step 2

Peel the avocado, remove its stone and chop it into small pieces. Keep it in a medium sized bowl and drizzle lemon juice over it. Mix well and season with a little bit of salt.

Step 3

Place the nori sheets on a flat surface. Divide the rice into 4 equal portions on the sheet. Spread it out evenly on the sheet. Keep a border of 1 cm on the top and bottom of each sheet. Layer the rice with a piece of smoked salmon. Spread a few chives on it and place a piece of avocado at the center.

Step 4

Roll the lower portion of the nori seaweed sheet on top of the filling. Hold firmly and make a tight roll. Use some water to moisten the top ends of the sheet. When you finish rolling, seal the top with a little pinch. Follow the same process to make more rolls in a similar fashion. Once you have rolled up all the sushi, wrap it individually with cling film. Put it away in a refrigerator to chill.

Step 5

Once the rolls are chilled, bring them out just before serving and cut them with a serrated knife. Make 8 pieces from every sushi roll. Each one of them must resemble little round pinwheels. Serve the delicious Japanese smoked salmon and avocado sushi rolls with sweet soy sauce.
