Recipe For The Chinese Steamed Pork Buns At Home

This is the traditional dish of the China, normally all the Chinese dishes are make of the steams because of that the ingredients used inside it have their taste and the minerals. Steamed pork buns is also very famous dish of the China and you will get in all the Chinese restaurants and if you want to have it in your kitchen then follow the simple steps:

Chinese Steamed Pork Buns


Preparation Time- 20 Minutes
Cooking Time- 200 Minutes
Serves- 3



Yeast Packet- 1
Milk- 240 ml
Vinegar- 1 tablespoon
Salt- as per your taste
Plain flour- 380 gm
Pork belly- 1.2 kg
Honey- 2 tablespoon
Soya sauce- 2 tablespoon
ketchup- 2 tablespoon
Shaoxing wine- 50 ml
Garlic- 2 cloves
Ginger- 1 teaspoon
Peeled Shallot- 1
Coriander- 50 gm
Red Chilli- 1

Methods Of Preparation:

Step 1

Now take the milk and then add the yeast into it and then add the sugar into it, mix it well, sugar is used to activate the yeast and also give the sweetness to the buns. Now in a mixture add the flour into it and then add the yeast mixture of the milk into it and also add the vinegar into it so that it will give the white colour to the dough. Now mix it well and make a soft dough.

Step 2

Now in a pan take the pork meat and then add the honey and the ketchup into it and then add the soya sauce, vinegar into it, now add the grated ginger into it also add the grated garlic into it, now take the shallot and peeled it off and then grated it and add in the mixture, dip the meat into it so that it will soaked the mixture.

Step 3

Cover this with the aluminium foil and then place it inside the oven at 130 degree Celsius for the 3 hours because pork meat takes enough time to cook. After the given time take out the meat from the oven and allow it to cool and remove the layer of the fat and then chopped it into the very small pieces and then take the fresh coriander and the red chilli and chopped it into small pieces. Now take all of them and mix well now take the juice of the meat and pour it in the mixture.

Step 4

Now take out the dough and then roll it inside the pot so that it will be extra smooth, now take out a small piece from the dough and then make a small ball from it and then take a board and sprinkle the dough on it and then roll the ball to make a thin layer the thinner the layer the easy cook, now cut out with the circle cutter to get the exactly the round shape.

Step 5

Now take a small amount of the pork mixture and place it in the middle and then stretch the dough to the top and fold it in the layers and then make a bun design over the top. Now place it inside the bun maker not so close to each other and then place it over the top of the pan which is filled with the water. Chinese use the bun maker make of the bamboo and you can also use the steel steam pan for the same. Now after the 15-20 minutes remove the bun maker from the pan and your delicious pork bun are ready to eat, use the chilli sauce with the it.
