Delicious Candied Bacon Bites

Dates- 200 gm
Almonds- 100 gm
Olive oil- 1 teaspoon
Bacon slices- 2
Brown sugar- 50 gm
Water- 50 ml
Cinnamon powder- 1 teaspoon

Methods Of Preparation:

Step 1

First you need to take the pan, put it on the high heat, as the pan is hot, add few drops of the olive oil to it, now add the almonds to it, roast the almonds for about the 5 minutes, so that there well be a smell of almonds coming out from it, now cool down the almonds and carefully peel the almonds.

Step 2

Take the dates, now cut the top and bottom part little bit, take a thick needle and insert it from the bottom of the dates and take out the seed of it, do this process for all the dates, there will be hole in the dates, now insert 1 almond in each hole, fill all the dates with the almonds.

Step 3

Add the remaining almonds in the mixture jar and make the powder of it, place the pan over the medium heat, add the water to it, as the water is lukewarm add the brown sugar to it, stir it so that the sugar will get dissolved in the water, when bubbles are coming out, add a pinch of cinnamon to it, add the powder of the almonds to it, stir it again for about 5-7 minutes, so that there will be caramelized mixture of the sugar and almonds.

Step 4

Now place the skillet over medium heat, as the pan is hot, add little bit of the olive oil to it, now immediately add the bacon strips to it, fry the bacon from one side only so that it will not get broken while rolling, now take it out to the plate, cut it into quarters and cool it down.

Now take baking tray, sprinkle some of the oil to it, place aluminium foil over it, again drizzle some oil, now take the dates, coat it with the caramelized mixture, now roll the bacon on it, with the fried side to the date, now take the tooth pick and insert it across the bacon, now do the same thing with all the dates.

Step 6

Now place the baking tray inside the oven for about the 20 minutes at 180 degree Celsius, but here you need to take out the bacon and change the side of it after every 5 minutes, so that all the thing should be perfectly cooked. Now take it out to the plate and cool it down completely.

Step 7

Now take the serving tray, place the bacon on it, now pour the caramelized mixture on it, shake the plate little bit, so that there will be a coat of the caramelized mixture. The dish is ready to eat.
