Recipe For The Delicious Caramelized Onion and Bacon Dip At Home

This is the delicious, sweet and sour dish in which you have the sweet taste of the bacon and sour taste of the cream and bacon, we fry the chopped bacon, we caramelized the onions, we add the garlic, creme cheese, sour cream and other things to it, then we add the bacon to it and cook it, last we add the cheese on the top of it and bake it in oven, we served it with the slices of the garlic bread.

Caramelized Onion and Bacon Dip

Preparation Time- 10 Minutes
Cooking Time- 40 Minutes
Serves- 3

Ingredients:

Large onions- 2
Bacon slices- 5
Cream cheese- 100 gm
Garlic cloves- 4
Worcestershire sauce- 1 teaspoon
Sugar- 1 tablespoon granulated
Parsley- 1 teaspoon dried
Sour cream- 100 ml
Mozzarella cheese- 40 gm
Parmesan cheese- 40 gm
Garlic bread loaf- 1
Gruyere cheese- 100 ml
Salt- as per taste
Pepper- 1 teaspoon

Methods Of Preparation:

Step 1

First you need to take the onions, cut it into half, peel one layer of it, now take the bowl, add little bit of the water in it, add salt to it, now place all the onions to it, leave it for about the 5 minutes, now take it out, cut it into thin slices.

Step 2

Take the bacon, roughly chopped it, take the skillet, put it on the low flame, add the oil to it, as the oil it hot, add the chopped bacon to it, stir it, fry the bacon till it become nice and crispy, take it out to the tissue and soak the oil in it.

Step 3

In the same pan, add the little bit of more oil to it, set the flame to the medium level, add all the onions to it, stir it regularly, add the sugar to it, leave the onions, so that the onions will have the dark brown color, take the garlic, chopped it very fine, add this to the onions, fry it just for 30 seconds.

Step 4

Take the creme cheese at the room temperature, mix it with the onions, so that there will be a smooth paste of it, now take the sour cream and mix it also with the onions, add the Worcestershire sauce, dried parsley and salt to it, mix all the things and reduce the flame to the low.

Step 5

Add the crispy bacon to it, mix it properly, if the gravy it thick, add little bit of the water to it, other wise season it with the pepper and cook it for about the 10 minutes, over the low flame, take it out and transfer it to the baking bowl.

Step 6

Take the baking tray, add water to it, now place the bowl of mixture on it, now take the mozzarella cheese sprinkle it on the top of the mixture, so that there will be layer of it, do the same with the Parmesan cheese also, now put this inside the oven at 180 degree Celsius for about the 25 minutes, so that there will be nice golden texture on the top of it.

Step 7

After the given time take it out and cool it down little bit, now take the loaf of the garlic bread, cut it into slices, make an even layer of the bacon mixture on it, garnish it with the fresh parsley leaves, served it to the serving plate. The dish is ready to eat.
