Recipe For The Delicious Hunter’s Pork Stew Bigos At Home

This is the national dish of Poland. This recipe is made up of the deep fry onions and then we add the tomato puree and other vegetables and then we take the sauce and fry it and lastly we add the apple. This dish has the taste of so many of the spices and it has also the taste of the juniper berries also.

Delicious Hunter's Pork Stew Bigos

Preparation Time- 20 Minutes
Cooking Time- 150 Minutes
Serves- 3

Ingredients:

Onions- 2
Butter- 2 tablespoon
Oil- 1 tablespoon
Carroway seeds- 1 teaspoon
Honey- 2 tablespoon
Pork meat- 500 gm
White cabbage- 1/2
Tomatoes- 4
Chili- 1
Black pepper- 1 teaspoon
Salt- as per taste
Sausage- 400 gm
Dried mushrooms- 100 gm

Methods Of Preparation:

Step 1

First take the pan and then add the butter into and then melt it on the low flame and then take the red onions and then peel them and then slice them and put them inside the pan and then deep fry them.

Step 2

Now to add the sweetness to it then add the juniper berries and the caraway seeds into it and then we take the cabbage and slice it nicely and then put them in the pan and then fry it.

Step 3

Now take the pork shoulder meat and then cut them into the slices and then add little bit of the olive oil into it and then we add the salt and the pepper on it and then we place this in the baking tray and then put it inside the oven at 180 degree Celsius for at least 30 minutes. Take it out and cool it down and remove the excess fat from it.

Step 4

Now we take the tomatoes and then cut them in 4 pieces and then we place this inside the jar and then we season it with the salt and pepper, add one clove of garlic and chopped parsley leaves with the green chili into it and then grind the whole thing to make the spicy puree.

Step 5

Now in the pan add the roasted pork meat, tomato puree, for sweetness add the honey into it and then add the chicken stock into it and then add the dry mushrooms into it and the gently cook it and simmer it for the 2 hours with the covered lid.

Step 6

Now take the pork sausage and then cut it into the thin slices and then we take the red apple and then grate it nicely. Now put this in the pan and then mix it with the other ingredients and gently cook it for the 30 minutes again.

Step 7

Now preheat the oven at the 150 degree Celsius and then we place the whole thing inside it for the 30 minutes and then we take it out from the oven. Now we take the egg white and then we blend it in the mixture and add the reseeded oil into it slowly and as the foam it ready then we take it out from it.

Step 8

Now we take the potatoes and then we put this in the bowl with full of water and then we cook the potatoes and then peel it off and then slice them and add them in the grinder with the white mayonnaise and then we mesh the whole thing.

Step 9

Now take out the pork meat, garnish it with the chopped coriander leaves and then enjoy this traditional dish with the mesh potatoes.
