Recipe For The Delicious Italian Calzone

Whenever we heard about the Italian dishes, first thing comes into mind is the perfect combination of the ingredients. Italian dishes are so delicious and they are served in many countries in the big restaurants. Calzone is one of the delicious recipe, which has the toasted crunchy outer part and the delicious combination of the vegetables inside. Well this is one of the popular street food and here are the simple steps by which you can cook in your kitchen:

Delicious Italian Calzone

Preparation Time- 10 minutes
Cooking Time- 20 minutes
Serves- 2


Yeast- 1 packet
Sugar- 1 tablespoon
Warm water- 1/2 cup
Flour- 3 cup
Olive oil- 5 tablespoon
Onion- chopped 1 big
Corn- 50 gm
Garlic- 5-6 chopped
Capsicum- 1 big
Tomatoes- 3 chopped
Basil leaves- 1 tablespoon dry
Chili flakes- 1 teaspoon
Cheese- 50 gm
Cheese- 50 gm mozzarella
Mint leaves- 3 to 5
Mayonnaise – 2 tablespoon

Method of Preparation:

Step 1

First of all take deep glass, now add 1 packet of the yeast into it, add 1 table spoon of the powder sugar into it now add the 1/2 cup of the Luke warm water into it. Now mix it well. When the yeast will come at the top level then the mixture is ready to use.

Step 2

Now take the flour and add the mixture to it, now add the salt to it now mix it also, now add the water and the soft dough from it. While making the dough make sure that there should not be any lumps in the dough, now add the 2 table spoon of the olive oil into it. Now again give 5-6 punch to the dough so that the oil will be absorbed by the dough.

Step 3

Take a fry pan add the olive oil and make it hot, now add the chopped onions into it, now add the corn into it  and then cook it for sometime, now add the chopped garlic into it now add the chopped tomatoes into it, now add the chopped capsicum into it and then add the 3 tablespoon of tomato ketchup into it. Now mix it well and cook it for 2-3 minutes. Now add the 1 tea spoon of chili flakes, 1 tablespoon of basil leaves and salt to taste mix it well and cook it for 5 minutes, now add the soft cheese into it and after cooking for 3-4 minutes take the pan away from the stove.

Step 4

Now take a plain surface sprinkle the flour on it. Now take your dough on it and press it by your hand in the round shape now again sprinkle some of the flour on it and take a roller and roll it in the circular shape and make a even surface.

Step 5

Now place the vegetables on it at the center in the vertical line and now sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on it. Now join the surface and make it the exactly the half circle and lock the corners from the folk and also a design will be there. Now at the top brush the beaten egg.

Step 6

Now preheated the oven at the 200 F and then bake this for the 10-15 minutes till it become the golden brown. Now take it from the oven and now cut the calzone into two equal pieces.

Step 7

Now take a jar add the tomatoes into it, add the red chili flakes with it, now add the mayonnaise into it , now add the mint leaves into it . Now grind all this in a mixer grinder. Use this sauce with the calzon.
