Recipe For The Delicious Kkwabaegi (Twisted Doughnuts At Home)

Doughnuts are loved by the children when they go to the school. This is the korean dish and now it is famous everywhere. First we make the dough of the doughnuts, then we make the balls of the doughnuts and then we roll out the dough and then we bake it and then this crunchy dish is ready to serve.

Preparation Time- 20 Minutes
Cooking Time- 10 Minutes

All purpose flour- 3 cups
Butter- 2 tablespoon
Dry yeast- 1 packet
White sugar- 2 tablespoons plus 3 tablespoons
Milk- 1 cup
Egg- 1
Salt- 1/2 teaspoon
Corn oil- 3 tablespoon
Cinnamon powder- 1/2 teaspoon

Method Of Prepration:

Step 1

Take a pan put it on heat then pour two table spoon butter into it as the butter is melted remove the pan from heat. Now add one cup milk into the pan and two tablespoon sugar then add half teaspoon salt into pan stir it well. Further add one egg and one packet yeast stir it properly let it rest for 5 minutes.

Step 2

Now transfer the mixture into another bowl and add 3 tablespoon of all purpose flour into the bowl now mix it well by using hand to make a soft dough, let it rise for around one hour until the doughnut expanded to double from its size. Meanwhile take out the dough from the bowl and make it soft by pressing the dough from each side then again put the dough in bowl cover it for more 40 min so that doughnut become double from its size, cover loosely with cloth.

Step 3

Divide the doughnut in 14 equal pieces then take 2 tablespoon of flour in bowl for dusting. Now take a piece of doughnut sprinkles some flour on board and then roll the dough on the board so it form a rope around 12 inches long. Meanwhile when you roll the dough, move one hand downward direction and the other hand the upward direction  then lift this from both ends so that the rope is twisted in between your hands then pinch the end part of doughnut and repeat this process with rest of remaining doughnut.

Step 4

Now wait for 30 minutes until the doughnut become double in size. After 10 minutes when doughnut expand its size then turn and flip it over each one so that bottom part is not flat all side expand nice and in round shape properly.

Step 5

Further, take a fry pan pour 4 tablespoon corn oil into it then put it over medium high heat as the pan is hot until the temperature reach around 350° F then turn down the heat to medium heat. Now pick up the each doughnut one by one very gently and push into the hot oil. Meanwhile cook it for around five minutes then flip them over with the tong, stir and fry them until the inside is like flappy outer side of doughnut become crispy or evenly golden brown around 3-5 minutes then turn of the gas strain the doughnut into plate.

Step 6

Now take a brown paper bag add sugar three tablespoon sugar and cinnamon powder then shake it well now put all doughnut into brown paper bag shake it well until all doughnut become evenly coated then transfer it into plate and glaze the doughnut by melt brown and white chocolate for this dip doughnuts with white chocolate and rest with brown chocolate. Make a cone filled with brown chocolate and make line on the white chocolate doughnuts for garnishing and serve it hot.
