Recipe For The Delicious LA Galbi (Barbecued Ribs) At Home

Beef short ribs- 4 kilogram
Water- 3 cups
Honey- 3 tablespoon
Garlic- 7 cloves
Soy sauce- 4 tablespoon
Ginger- 2 teaspoon
Pear- 1
Sesame oil- 2 tablespoon
Soy bean paste- 3 tablespoon
Hot pepper paste- 2 tablespoon
Black ground pepper- 2 teaspoon
Lettuce- 2
Green onion- 2 medium sized
Green chili pepper- 2

Method Of Preparation:

Step 1

Take 4 kilogram of beef short ribs wash it couple of time in cold running water carefully. Take off ant excess fat with knife. In large bowl pour 5 cups of water and put ribs into it and soak it for 1 hour so that all blood will remove.

Step 2

To marinate the beef, we take a bowl, add 1/2 cup soy sauce, 1/4 cup honey, 1/2 cup water and 1 teaspoon crushed black pepper into it mix it well. Now take 1 pear, cut it into small pieces, cut 2 medium sized onion into small chunks, 5 garlic cloves, 2 teaspoon ginger put all ingredients into a food processor and grind it until to make smooth paste.

Step 3

Add 2 tablespoon sesame oil, 1 teaspoon black pepper and the smooth paste into soy sauce base mix it. Again wash the soaked ribs 2 to 3 times to remove any bone fragment and drain it.

Step 4

Now put the cleans ribs into marinade sauce, by using hand mix it properly. Put marinade ribs into refrigerator for over night. Meanwhile we have to make dipping sauce, take small bowl add 3 tbs soy bean paste, 2 tablespoon of hot pepper paste, 2 clove of minced garlic, 1 teaspoon of honey, 3 stalk of chopped green onion, 2 teaspoon of sesame seeds into it mix it well.

Step 5

Put the marinade ribs on hot charcoal barbie-quid, cook it for 5 minutes then turn it over and cook it for another 5 minutes until both side of ribs become golden brown and cook. Turn off the heat.

Take a serving plate place a 1 lettuce leave, put piece of ribs over it and add a piece of green chili pepper, garlic and ssamjang dipping sauce, wrap it over and enjoy this recipe.
