Recipe For The Delicious Pumpkin Sausage And Potato Gratins

This is the delicious dish in which we have the combination of the vegetable and meat, this is easy to cook dish, we dice the potato and pumpkin, fry it in the oil, cook it in the vegetable broth, then we pass all of this from the potato ricer we add the Parmesan cheese to it and cubes of provola cheese to it, we fry the sausage also in the onion, garlic, we dust the breadcrumbs to the cups, we add the mixture to it, we add the sausage, some cubes of provola cheese, we bake it and served it.

Serves- 3

Ingredients:

Potatoes- 500 gm
Pumpkin- 500 gm
Onion- 1/2
Garlic- 2 cloves
Vegetable broth- 200 ml
Olive oil- 2 tablespoon
Thyme- 2 sprigs
Salt- as per taste
Pepper- 1 teaspoon
Sausage- 400 gm
Provola cheese- 130 gm
Grated Parmesan cheese- 60 gm
Nutmeg- 1 teaspoon
Bread slices- 2

Methods Of Preparation:

Step 1

First you need to take the pumpkin, cut it into quarters, now cut it into slices, cut out the top hard portion of it, last cut it into slices, place this to the bowl, take the potatoes, peel it and dice it very fine, now mix it with the pumpkin pieces, clean it with the running water and soaked the water to the kitchen.

Step 2

We take the pan, put it on the low heat, add the olive oil to it, now add the pumpkin and potato slices to it, fry it for 3 minutes, season it with the salt and pepper according the taste, add the thyme leaves to it.

Step 3

Take the glass, add the water to it, crumble vegetable stock to it, add this to the mixture, cover it with the lid and cook it for about the 15 minutes, as the mixture is cooked place this to the potato ricer and pass all the mixture from it to the bowl.

Step 4

Take the sausage, cut the skin parts of it, now take out the sausage in the bowl, place a pan over the medium flame, add butter to it, now add finely chopped onion and garlic to it, fry till the both get slightly brown, crumble the sausage in it, now fry it for sometime, so that the color of the sausage is changed.

Step 5

Take the provola cheese, cut it into small cubes, grate the Parmesan cheese to it, mix it with the potato and pumpkin mixture, mix all the things together, season it with the salt and pepper, add the sausage to it, grate 1 teaspoon of nutmeg.

Step 6

Place the bread slices in the mixture jar and make the breadcrumbs of it, now take the small cups, apply melted butter to it, now dust it with the breadcrumbs, add the mixture to the cup of about the 3/4 of the volume, place the sausage on the top of it, now place 2-3 slices of the provola cheese on the top of it.

Step 7

Place all the cups to the baking tray, apply little bit of the beaten egg on the top of it, now place this inside the oven at 180 degree Celsius for about the 15 minutes, so that the cheese will get melted, take it out the cups, remove the cups and served it hot, add the tomato sauce to the serving bowl and enjoy it. The dish is ready to eat.
