This is the Japanese dish and you will get this dish in most of the Chinese and the Japanese restaurants. This is the traditional dish and it is very simple. This is the dish which has the steamed cooked red beans and these bean are filled in the rice mochi and then it baked to make it crunchy. It has the coating of the sesame at the top. You can have it at any occasion.
Here Is The Recipe For This Mochi Balls
Preparation Time- 20 Minutes
Cooking Time- 100 Minutes
Red beans- 100 gm
Caster sugar- 100 gm
Rice flour- 100 gm
Corn flour- 50 gm
Sesame seeds- 35 gm toasted
Water- 2 litre
Methods Of Preparation:
First we need to cook the red beans and for this you need to take the red beans in the pan and then add the water into it and then boil for about 5 minutes and then drain out the water and then again add the water and boil it for 90 minutes. This will make the beans soft enough.
Now drain the water and then again place this in the pan and then add the powder sugar into it and then leave this for the some time so that the beans will absorb the sweetness of the sugar.
Now make the mochi and for this you need to take the 1 part of the caster sugar and 3 part of the rice flour and then add the water into it and then mix it well so that there will be lumps free mixture. Now place this inside the microwave for the 5 minutes. Now you will get the super sticky mixture of the rice.
Now in the tray make a layer of the corn flour and then place this sticky mixture on it and then. Now cool it down so that we can give it shape. Now mix the sugar and then bean mixture and also cool it down for about 30 minutes.
Now take the mixture and then place 1 teaspoon of the red bean mixture into it and then roll over the flour to make the sphere of it, make as much as you can and make the thin layer of it.
Now place this in the sesame to give it extra flavour. Now eat it with the french mustard your mochi balls are ready to eat.
