500 grams chicken (breast portion)
2 medium sized carrot
3-4 small red onions
4-5 cloves of garlic
1 small pieces of ginger
3-4 fresh lemon leaves
3 tablespoons refined flour
2 cups of milk
2-3 tablespoons olive oil
3 tablespoons butter
black pepper powder and salt
Methods Of Preparation:
Cut chicken into small pieces. Wash it and remove the water. With the help of a clean cloth pat chicken pieces dry. Then squeeze one whole lemon over the chicken pieces. Remove the lemon seeds because these seeds may make your chicken bitter. Sprinkle some salt also. Mix everything and leave them for 30-40 minutes for marination purpose.
Peel both carrot and potato and cut them into small cubes. Chop lemon leaves bluntly and keep them apart.
Peel red onion and cut them into two halves. Peel both garlic and ginger and grind them to paste. Leave them apart.
In a container mix refined flour and milk properly. Be sure that there is no lump in the mixture. While mixing these two things add salt to taste.
In a deep bottom container add the olive oil. Let it heat. After that, add garlic and ginger paste in it. Stir well to fry the spice. Then add onion, potato and carrot in the spice. Add little amount of salt. Salt helps to make vegetables soft. Mix well. Add chicken pieces in it. Stir well and cook everything on low flame for 10-12 minutes keeping the lid on. After that, remove the lid and check whether the chicken pieces and vegetables are tender enough. When they are soft enough pour the flour mixed milk over them. Cook them on a high flame till the gravy thickens. While cooking gravy keep siring the it continuously so that it does not get stuck at the bottom of the container. When you get the desired consistency of the gravy remove it from the oven. Add 3 tablespoons butter, chopped lemon leaves and 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper powder in the chicken gravy. Mix well and keep the lid on at least for 10 minutes before serving so that the smell of butter and spices get mixed properly.
