Recipe of Lip-Smacking Fish Balls And Hot Green Dip

Fish Balls And Hot Green Dip

Preparation Time: 40 Minutes

Serves: 3

Ingredients:

For Fish Balls:

Fish – 500 grams (carp)
1 potato
onion
2 cloves of garlic
1 small piece of ginger
fresh coriander leaves
2 green chilies
2 green cardamom
1 clove
½ inch cinnamon
salt
vegetable oil
butter oil
1 egglittle
little amount of refined flour
and bed crumbs.

For Dip:

Handful of fresh coriander leaves
hand full of fresh mint leaves
2 green chilies
½ cup yogurt
2 tablespoons mustard powder
1 tablespoon sugar and salt to taste.

Methods Of Preparation:

Step 1

At first cut and wash fish properly. Wipe it dry. Sprinkle some salt over them. Rub them well and leave it for 10-15 minutes so that the fish absorb the salt. Heat some oil on a skillet and fry the fish pieces lightly. After that, break them and remove bones from the body of fish and make it boneless. Removing bones becomes easier after frying the fish. Keep boneless fish aside.

Step 2

Boil potato with jacket till it get soft. After that remove the jacket and mash it properly. Keep them aside.

Step 3

Peel, onion, garlic and ginger. Chop onion very finely, mince garlic and grate ginger. Chop coriander leaves very finely. Chop 2 green chilies very finely and remove the seeds. Crush cinnamon, clove and cardamom to powder. Beat the egg properly. In the time of beating sprinkle some salt in the egg and keep the beaten egg aside.

Step 4

In a pan add 1 tablespoons butter oil and add onion, garlic and ginger. Fry them well. Add spice powder and remove them from oven. After that, add boneless fish and mashed potato in it. Add chopped coriander and chopped green chili in it. Add salt to taste. Mix well. Now mix everything properly, now your stuffing is ready. Dive this stuffing into 8 – 10 equal size balls. Now roll these balls on dry refined flour so that these balls get coating. Soak this ball in beaten egg. After that, roll them on dry bread crumbs. Repeat the process twice.

Step 5

Heat ample quantity oil in a deep bottom container; so that you can deep fry your fish balls. Start frying your fish balls till golden brown. Double fry of these fish balls are needed to make these balls super crunchy. It will be better if you can fry these balls for the second time just immediately before serving.

Step 6

To make this lip smacking green dip, add coriander leaves, mint, green chilies, mustard powder, yogurt, salt and sugar in the blender. Blend them till you get a smooth paste. Your dip is ready.

Step 7

Now serve these hot fish balls with this tasty green dip.
