Pork shoulder- 900 gm
Olive oil- 3 tablespoon
Spinach leaves- 1 handful
Dijon mustard- 1 tablespoon
Oregano- 1 tablespoon
Chili flakes- 1 teaspoon
Garlic paste- 1 tablespoon
Soy sauce- 1 teaspoon
Liquid smoky flavor- 1 teaspoon
Red wine- 500 ml
Cumin seeds- 1 teaspoon
Garlic cloves- 5
Basil leaves- 1 teaspoon
Italian seasoning- 1 teaspoon
Salt- as per taste
Pepper- 1 teaspoon
Methods Of Preparation:
First you need to take the pork shoulder, now take out the wrapping of it, as the meat is cold, so put it in the bowl, add the water and salt to it, leave the meat for sometime, so that it will come to the normal room temperature, take it out, drain the water, with the help of the tissue paper, soak out the water from it.
Now take the sharp knife, you will see a white thick layer of fat on the meat, cut it with the knife, poke the meat with the knife, place it in a big bowl, pour the olive oil on it, rub the oil on the meat gently with good massaging.
In a separate bowl, add the Dijon mustard, add the oregano, add the chili flakes, add the garlic paste to it, add little bit of the soy sauce to it, season it with the salt and pepper, mix all the things well, now again take the paste and rub it on the meat gently, leave the meat for sometime.
Now take the spinach, cut the leaves on it, now chopped the leaves, clean it in the water, take the bowl, add the water to it, season it with the salt and pepper, cover the lid and cook the spinach for 3 minutes, now take it out and drain the water, take the onions, peel it and chopped it nicely, take the garlic, crushed it, chopped it.
Take the skillet on the low heat, as the pan is hot, add the olive to it, add the cumin seeds to it, as the seeds are popping, add the garlic to it, add the onions to it, fry the whole things, add the spinach to it, fry the whole things well.
Take the crock pot, add the meat in it, now add the mixture to it, add dried basil leave, 1 teaspoon of the smoky liquid flavor to it, add the white wine to it, so that the meat will simmer in it wine, now put the crock pot to the low level of flame, now leave the mixture for about the 70 minutes.
After 70 minutes, you will see that the meat will start tendering, now remove the crockpot from the flame, take out the meat to the plate, now with the help of folk, pull out the meat from the bones, now take the serving plate, add the meat to it, add the Italian seasoning on the top it and served it.
