Spanish Seafood Fried Rice

Here Is The Recipe For Spanish Seafood Fried Rice:

Preparation Time: 10 Minutes
Cooking Time: 35 Minutes
Serves: 4


Vegetable oil – 3 tbsp
Chopped onion – 1
Chopped garlic clove – 2
Turmeric – 1/2 tsp
Chopped tomato – 1 medium
Diced carrot – 1 medium
Diced red bell pepper – 1/2
Kosher salt
Ground pepper
Peeled and deveined shrimp – 1 pound
White rice – 1 1/2 cup
Chopped parsley – 1 tbsp
Frozen peas – 1/2 cup (thawed)
Hot sauce

Method Of Preparation:

Step 1

Firstly you need to take a deep skillet and add vegetable oil to it. Heat it over medium heat. Now add the chopped onion, turmeric and the garlic. Let it cook till the onion gets a little soft and translucent. It takes about 3 minutes or so. Add the carrot, bell pepper and tomato. Cook it and stir in between. It should get tender in 5 minutes.

Step 2

Now comes step 2 which is a good part. You need to add the peeled shrimps and cook. Stir it occasionally. You will see them turning pink in about 1 minute. Add the water – about 2 cups and then add the rice. Now add the parsley. Make sure you use fresh chopped parsley. Bring it to a boil. Reduce heat, cover it and let it simmer till the rice gets tender in 20 minutes maximum. Remove it from heat and sprinkle the peas on top and the remaining chopped parsley.  Cover it and let it stand for about 5 minutes.

Step 3

Use a fork to fluff the rice and just incorporate the parsley and peas. Season it with salt and pepper. You can serve it with some hot sauce. Although it is optional. You can enjoy the dish without any hot sauce too. Make sure you serve this amazing dish hot.
