Tasty Hawaiian Mahi Mahi Fish Sliders Recipe

Hawaiian Mahi Mahi Fish Sliders

Preparation Time : 15 Minutes
Cooking Time : 15 Minutes
Serves : 2

Ingredients :

Oil – for searing
2 Mahi Mahi fillet – 3 ounce each
Blackening seasoning – 1 tbsp
Hawaiian Sweet rolls – 2 (prefer King Hawaiian rolls)
Sriracha mayonnaise – 2 ounces
Lettuce – shredded
Lemon juice
Black pepper – freshly ground
Pickled onion

For Caper Tapenade-

Onion – 1
Tomato – 1
Chopped capers – 5
5 Green olives
Garlic – 3 cloves


Step 1

Take a pan and heat some oil. Dry the mahi mahi fish fillets with paper towels.

Step 2

Sprinkle some blackening spice on the fish fillet. Cover only one side with blackening spice. Place the seasoned side of the fish in the oil. Fry for 3 minutes. Now flip the fillet and sear it till gets cooked through. This should take 3 minutes.

Step 3

Toast the Hawaiian sweet rolls in melted butter till it gets brown. Spread the Sriracha mayonnaise on both top and bottom of the sweet rolls. Use King’s Hawaiian sweet rolls for this recipe. You can use some other brand too.

Step 4

Season the lettuce with pepper and lemon juice. Place a fried mahi mahi fillet on the sweet roll. Place it on the bottom half of the sweet roll.

Step 5

Now to make the tapenade, mix onions, chopped capers, garlic, green olives and tomatoes in a bowl. They should be in equal parts. Tapenade is an important part of the dish. Put some tapenade on the fish fillet and then place the seasoned lettuce. Then add some pickled onions. Now place the top of the sweet roll once it is done.
