The Amazingly Delicious Espresso Panna Cotta Recipe

A panna cotta uses milk, gelatin, cream and some yummy flavor to it. This one is going to be espresso flavored. It is a big hit among kids and adults love it as much! The recipe is easy to follow. It is quick to make but the setting time takes time.

Here Is The Recipe For Espresso Panna Cotta:


Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes
Serves: 2


Milk – 1/2 cup
Powdered Gelatin – 1 1/2 tsp (unflavored)
Heavy cream – 1 1/2 cup
Espresso powder (instant) – 3 tsp
Sugar – 1/4 cup
Pinch of salt
White chocolate bar – 1 small
Dark chocolate bar – 1 small

Method Of Preparation:

Step 1

Take a saucepan and the place the milk in it. Make sure it is a heavy saucepan. Put the gelatin over it and let it stand for about 5 minutes. This will make the gelatin soft. Stir it over medium heat till the gelatin starts to dissolve. Milk should not boil. This should take 2 minutes.

Step 2

Now add the espresso powder. Make sure it is instant espresso powder. Add the cream, sugar and salt. Stir it over low heat. The sugar should dissolve in about 3 minutes.

Step 3

Remove it from heat and let it cool a bit. Pour in the cream mixture in 2 serving bowls or you can use martini glasses for serving. Divide it equally in two glasses. Cover the glasses and refrigerate it. Stir for every 15 minutes in the first hour. Chill it till it gets set. You need at least 6 hours of resting time in the fridge till it gets set.

Step 4

Once it is ready to serve, you need to shave the chocolate. You can take a vegetable peeper and create both dark and white chocolate shavings. Now sprinkle these shavings over the panna cotta which is set in the martini glasses. Serve chilled.
