Vegetable shortening – 1/3 cup
Unsalted butter – 2 sticks
Masa harina – 2 cups
Ice water – 1/3 cup
Corn kernels – 4 cups
Yellow cornmeal – ½ cup
Sugar – ¾ cup
Heavy cream – ¼ cup
Baking powder – ½ teaspoon
Salt – ½ teaspoon

Method Of Preparation:

Step 1

Preheat oven at 375 degrees.

Take shortening along with butter in a bowl and beat them together until fluffy.

Step 3

Blend the corn in a processor until the corn kernels are smooth.

Step 4

Mix up the corn meal, heavy cream, sugar, baking powder and salt in another bowl. Add the masa harina and ground corn kernel to the corn meal mixture and stir well.

Step 5
