It is great as a starter and can be served with tartar dip. You can have it with beer – it is so amazing! The dish is called Tortilla Crusted Tilapia. It is such a yum dish! Here Is The Recipe For Tortilla Crusted Tilapia:

Corn tortilla – 8
Paprika – 2 tsp
Cumin – 2 tsp
Cayenne pepper – 1/2 tsp
Onion powder – 3/4 tsp
Garlic powder – 1/2 tsp
Eggs – 2
All purpose flour – 1/2 cup
Tilapia fillets – 1 1/2 pound
Lime wedges – 1 lime
Cilantro – a few springs.
Method Of Preparation:
Firstly you need to combine the cumin, paprika, tortilla, salt, onion powder, cayenne pepper and garlic powder in a food processor. Pulse it till the ingredients combine. Pulse till the tortillas turn into crumbs. Transfer these crumbs into a plate.
Now you need a shallow bowl. Crack eggs in it and beat using a fork till it gets blended. Place the all purpose flour on a plate. Now line the baking sheet using aluminum foil.
Make an assembly line now. First should be the flour then the eggs and then the tortillas. Baking sheet should be fourth.
Season the tilapia fillets with salt. Now you need to do it one by one. First dredge the tilapia fillet with flour, shake the excess. You need a very light coating of flour. Now dip it in the egg mix and turn it to coat it evenly. Once again, you need a very light coating. Now dredge it in the crumbs of tortilla. Turn it to coat evenly. Now place the prepared breaded tilapia fillets on the baking sheet.
Cover it and refrigerate it till the it gets ready to cook. You can refrigerate it for as many hours as you want.
Now you need to use a non stick pan. Pour vegetable oil in it. Heat it on medium heat. Once the oil gets hot, place the prepared Tilapia fillets in the pan. Do 2 at a time because if you put more, it will just stick. Do not overcrowd. Cook each side for 4 minutes. Cook till the fish starts flaking. You want it to be cooked through. It should turn golden brown. Now once it is done, just serve it on a serving platter. Repeat same steps with rest of the prepared fillets as well.
Your dish is ready! You can serve this dish with a tartar dip. A tartar dip needs minced onion, mayonnaise, lemon juice, salt, sweet pickle relish and pepper. It is that easy! Serve hot with tartar dip. You will have an amazing starter dish!
